The visit of the Caravan Salon Austria is an uncomplicated trip due to the trade fair city Wels’ central position and a very good connection to the main traffic system. Apart from the trade fair’s extensive exhibition programme, the city Wels itself and the surrounding villages invite to discover their touristic and gastronomic offers.

Welios® Science Center
The Welios® Science Center is an interactive exhibition on the topic of renewable energy unique in Austria. TIP: Special exhibition “weightless – Space Adventure” since 11th February, 2016. Further information at www.welios.at

Discovering Ovilava – the Roman Wels
The Roman settlement presumably was formed in the second half of the 1st century AD at the left side of the river Traun in the area where the town Traun is situated nowadays. Emperor Hadrian (117–138 AD) promoted Ovilava to a municipium, an autonomous town. The Roman path offers the unique opportunity to experience Roman history in the city. Currently the network consists of 27 stations. The Roman path can be explored individually at any time or walked by sections together with a city guide after having made an appointment. Museum Angerlehner – Where Art Gathers.
The privately run Museum Angerlehner in Thalheim near Wels was opened on the 14th September, 2013. Kommerzialrat Heinz J. Angerlehner has been collecting contemporary art for more than thirty years from renowned as well as young, up and coming artists from Austria and abroad. The museum is reachable via a bridge over the river Traun in only a few minutes’ walk directly from the exhibition grounds. Open Thursday - Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm. Playing Golf in and Around Wels
Wels is the ideal starting point of a golf and pleasure tour. There are eight golf courses around Wels in a radius of 40 km. Zoo and Aquazoo Schmiding
